'Deutsche Reichspost Postkarte' originally issued in 1900 but postally used in 1937. The card produced by Jean Sahm, Plauen, depicts a German 'Imperial' tree with its roots within various countries (including the colonies). Its trunk displays the motto 'Vom Fels zum Meer, vom Meer über die Welt' (From the rock to the sea, from the sea to the world). The branches display the images of Kaiser Wilhelm's family (and those that have gone before). On the sea floats a battleship with the name 'Wilhelm'. The year '1900' is portrayed as the sun emanating rays of light. Ref: 20.08.1937
