Dear Madeleine!
I wish you a very happy Easter. I do hope poor Robert is much better. You must have had a very bad time during his illness. Thank God he is much better now. Muck is in England now. I don’t know her address and cant write to her. Its such a funny idea to have one sister in England and the other in France so far away. Here it is cold now and windy. I wish that ugly wind would stop blowing for once. All the fruit trees are in full bloom and our garden is lovely. I hope Baby is recovering soon, she seems to be ill all the time with slight colds and flu. I wish you again all possible luck and happiness for Easter. With fondest love from
Loll

Dear Madeleine!
Many, many thanks for your good wishes. I was so sorry to hear of Roberts illness. I do hope he’s quite well again. Where is he going to? Are you coming to the continent this year again or will you stay in England? I think we’ll stay here for the whole time. I would have loved to hear you talk German to that doctor, it must have been about the same as us talking Hungarian. Loll & I having Hungarian lessons, I think it’s the worse language you can learn, even much much worse than French. You just break your tongue and I think I also forgot my English by it. Muck was in Luxembourg and I think is now already in London. It’s a pity England is so big that you cant see her. She is going to Birmingham and then going to Scotland to Aberdane or how its called. She had to travel alone till Munich and of course her trunk got lost at Vienna and when she went on to Luxembourg with my aunt and stayed there for some days, she had nothing to change. But she enjoyed herself very much and they were very nice to her. I have a cold again and am lying in bed, but I’ll get up today. Since Munich I have already had three now, and I am very cross at it. Our marriage will be one of the first days in August. I hope all will go well till then. We have had rather a troubled time now and we have no idea where to settle down. Perhaps even in Switzerland with my fiancés brother and family. We were very glad that Gottf. had been here all the time and he wont go away so very soon. Mammi and I had been to Budapest to buys things for the trousseau. We are perhaps going to Munich at the end of the month. I would love to go.
I hope you’ll have nice Easter holidays. Bye-the-bye what are you studying now. Please remember me to all your family and still many thanks for the good wishes.
Yours with fondest love
Baby
