LEIPZIG cancellations as featured in the Bochmann catalogues (1952)
Note on JB:Leipzig128/478 - This cancel was used in Leipzig between 1938 and 1946 with numerous alpha-numeric sequences (mostly C1 and C2). However, it is noted that cancellations post-war 1945 command a higher price in the Bochmann catalogue.
Notes on JB:Leipzig198/486 - The postmark was used by the special post office at the commemoration, where only invited guests were allowed to post. After the end of the fair, the fair office sold commemorative sheets with special stamps bearing this postmark.
